Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
